The Cabossés Series
The name relates to my building technique. I am rough with the clay, pushing it hard and demanding a lot from it. I like when the medium is apparent which is why I leave those marks in the forms. The same applies with the fired works and the surface treatment. In the end, my forms appear banged up and somewhat mangled, which is the meaning of the word cabossé in French.
