Composition in Four Parts

Composition in Four Parts is a suspended ceramic installation exploring spatial tension, fragility, and restraint. Four elements—each hand-built and materially distinct—hang in quiet dialogue, forming a grid that invites viewers to consider presence through absence. The air between forms becomes charged, as volume and void negotiate for dominance. This work interrogates structure, both literal and conceptual, where balance feels provisional and the grid a soft authority. Ceramics here transcends utility, existing instead as proposition—an architecture of doubt and weight. The viewer completes the composition by moving through it, activating the empty spaces and turning stillness into encounter.
